COVID-19 Electricity Relief Program

Customers who are low income or unemployed as a result of COVID-19 may be eligible for 6 months of disconnection protection. Eligibility is determined by a third party, Solix. To apply for relief, call Solix at 866.454.8387

Qualifications for aid include those getting assistance through SNAP or Medicaid or filed with unemployment with the Texas Workforce commission

Deferred Payment Plan

Eligible customers may be able to make payment arrangements to pay their bill in installments.

Power Partners Program

Champion Energy works with nonprofit social service agencies to help fund Champion customers who qualify for assistance with their bills. A list of agency partners can be found here. And, as always, customers can check their account and pay their bill anytime online or call us at us at 877.653.5090.

Who qualifies?
If you receive assistance through SNAP or Medicaid, or if you've filed for unemployment with the Texas Workforce Commission.

How do I apply?
Call the Texas Lifeline at 866-454-8387. All relief fund applications are being processed through The Texas Lifeline in partnership with SOLIX and the state of Texas. You may experience long call wait times as agents work to serve all Texans in need of assistance.

What information will I need to provide when I call?
You'll need to provide the information that matches your Champion Energy account, including name and address. It may also be helpful to have the following: Account number, Last four digits of your social security number, Phone number.

What information will I need to provide after I call? You'll need to send a copy of your acceptance from the Texas Workforce Commission and a copy of your electricity bill within 30 days of calling. You can send this via email or mail.  Email: TX_COVID-19ELECTRICITY_RELIEF@SOLIXINC.COM
