> Champion Energy Services is a retail electricity provider (REP) headquartered in Houston, Texas, and a subsidiary of Calpine Corporation — America's largest generator of electricity from natural gas and geothermal resources. Champion Energy serves residential customers in Texas (ERCOT) and commercial/industrial customers across deregulated U.S. markets including Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, and Maine.

Champion Energy was first licensed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas in 2004 (PUCT No. 10098). The company serves more than 2 million residential customer equivalents. It holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, was ranked "Highest in Residential Customer Satisfaction" by J.D. Power multiple times, and holds a 5-star rating from the PUCT. Customer support is staffed entirely in Texas.

The customer-facing web portal is built with Next.js and supports authenticated account management via Azure AD B2C (MSAL). The portal is available in English and Spanish and includes dedicated flows for residential and commercial customers.
