Scholarship Guidelines

Must be a Texas resident in their senior year of high school, scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2024
Employees of Calpine (and its affiliates), as well as their children, grandchildren, and/or spouses, are ineligible for this Scholarship Award Program

3 awards to be given out totaling $10,000 - $5,000, $3,000, $2,000
Scholarship check will be paid directly to the awardee’s college or university by July 31, 2024.
Payment of scholarship check to awardee’s college or university is dependent on awardee providing Champion with a valid Student ID.
Subject to the awardees’ permission, Champion will announce all award winners via email communication and blog post. Champion will notify all award winners by May 3, 2024. Award winners must respond to Champion’s notification by May 10, 2024. In the event an award winner fails to claim his or her award by May 10, 2024, Champion may, in its sole discretion, annul its previous decision and award the scholarship to another applicant.
